Frequently asked questions

How does GPS track field workers?
CampusTrack records GPS coordinates only at the moment of check-in and check-out — not continuously throughout the day. When a field worker checks in at a client site, their GPS position is compared against the geofence to verify they are at the correct location. There is no background location tracking.
Does it work without internet?
CampusTrack is a Progressive Web App that caches essential data locally. Field workers can view their schedule and recent visit history offline. However, GPS verification and check-in submission require an active internet connection at the moment of check-in. Data syncs automatically when connectivity is restored.
Can it log client visits?
Yes. Every check-in at a geofenced client location creates a visit record with GPS coordinates, timestamp, and duration. You can view visit history by client, employee, or date range. Reports can be exported for management review or shared with clients as proof of visit.
Does it track driving routes?
No. CampusTrack records location only at check-in and check-out points — it does not track driving routes, paths, or movement between locations. This approach respects field worker privacy while still providing visit verification at client sites.
Can managers assign visits to field workers?
Yes. Managers can assign specific client sites to field workers and define expected visit schedules. The system tracks actual visits against planned visits, flagging missed or overdue client visits on the dashboard.
